ChaosiumがPDFでの販売開始

今日届いたDMに次のような案内が。要は、PDFでの販売を開始するという案内。

Chaosium Downloadable Books

Here at Chaosium, we decided to offer many of our titles as PDF's available for purchase and download to your home computer.

Last week Charlie began uploading dozens of PDF TITLES to the Chaosium catalog. Those of you who enjoy the convenience and portability of electronic books can now save yourself the bother of shipping physical books and monographs around the world. Many others have asked for these to supplement their physical bookshelves, so that thair favorite RPG games and supplements are available on their desktop.

Among the first offerings are our new BASIC ROLEPLAYING RPG, the BRP monograph ASHES TO ASHES, the CALL OF CTHULHU rulebook, CTHULHU DARK AGES, a classic version of SUPERWORLD, the SHADOWS OF WAR monograph for Call of Cthulhu, and the Viking Cthulhu Dark Ages monograph THE RAVENAR SAGAS. There are many others available, and we'll continue to add titles. Check back often!

ざっと見た感じ、メインはクトゥルフ関連でmonographが中心。基本ルールブックやダークエイジ、キーパーズコンパニオンがあるのはうれしいな。早速買ってみるかな?

しかし、リストの中にこそこそっとNEPHILIMやSUPERWORLDが入っているのが笑える...というか、海外ではニーズがあるのか?
個人的に所蔵はしているものの、プレイした事はないな。これを機にどこかでやってみるか?追記 (2008/06/25)

ChaosiumのPDFシリーズですが、あれから地道に冊数を増やしている模様。今日確認したら、絶版になって久しい『Masks of Nyarlathotep』(ニャルラトテップの仮面)がリストに追加されていました。個人的にも本作品は持っておらず、Amazonあたりでもコレクター価格で手が出せなかったのですが、これでやっと手に入れることが.....

この際、ORIENT EXPRESSもPDFに追加されないかなぁ。でも、これだけのキャンペーンをどこでやれば良いのだ? (^^;)
